CCSD 46’s limiting rate referendum question will appear on the March 19, 2024 ballot. Below is information on how to register to vote and about when and where you can vote in the upcoming March 19, 2024, primary election.


VOTER REGISTRATION
Voter registration allows qualified voters to participate in the electoral process. Upcoming elections include the General Primary Election on March 19, 2024, and the General Election on November 5, 2024.

CAN I VOTE EARLY?
Yes. Registered voters can vote by mail, vote early in person, or vote on election day, March 19, 2024, at your neighborhood polling place.

CAN I VOTE BY MAIL?
Yes. All registered voters in Lake County may request a mail ballot online.

  • Vote by Mail application submission begins December 20, 2023
  • Vote by Mail application deadline is before 5pm on March 14, 2024
  • Vote by Mail ballot distribution begins February 8, 2024
  • Vote by Mail voting deadline: completed ballots must be received at the Lake County Clerk’s Office by 7:00 PM on Election Day, March 19, 2024.

CAN RENTERS VOTE ON THE DISTRICT’S REFERENDUM QUESTION?
Yes. Property ownership is not a requirement for voting. Individuals must be 18 or older, a US citizen, and a registered voter.



PRIMARY ELECTION SCHEDULE

DEC 20, 2023 – First day to apply to vote by mail
FEB 08, 2024 – Early vote begins at the Lake County Clerk’s Office
FEB 08, 2024 – Vote by mail begins
MAR 04, 2024 – Early voting begins county-wide
MAR 14, 2024 – Vote by mail application deadline 5:00 pm
MAR 18, 2024 – Last day for early voting
MAR 19, 2024 – General Primary Election day – vote at your neighborhood polling location

All completed ballots must be received at the Lake County Clerk’s office by 7:00 pm on Election Day.
