How can I access online registration?

If a child in your family has currently or previously been enrolled in CCSD 46: You can access registration through your parent portal when registration is open. If you do not have an account or have forgotten your password, please contact your school.

If you have never had a student enrolled in CCSD46: You must complete a New Family Registration form.

I don't have a computer – how can I register?

Online registration is accessible on most mobile devices (iOS 13.4 and higher or Android 5.0 and higher). The Grayslake Area Public Library also has computers available that can be used for online registration. If you aren’t able to access the online registration using one of these methods, you can visit the Registrar’s office located at Grayslake Middle School, 440 Barron Blvd, Grayslake, IL.

I have multiple students in the district. Can I register them at the same time?

Online registration is completed as a family. Even if you are enrolling a new student this is completed through the same application as your existing students.

If my students will attend different buildings in the district, do I need to complete separate applications?

Online registration is completed as a family. Even if you are enrolling students at different buildings or your student is moving from an elementary building to the 5-6 building or 7-8 building, they are still considered continuing students and all students in the family are completed through the same application.

I am an existing parent in the district and want to enroll another student. How can I add another student to my online registration?

Enrolling a new student is completed through the same application as your existing students. On the student tab of your application, you can click “Add New Student.”

Can I save my progress and come back to the registration later?

If a child in your family has currently or previously been enrolled in CCSD 46: Access your saved application through your parent portal.

If you have never had a student enrolled in CCSD46: In the New Family Registration form, select “Return to Saved Registration.” Please note that you will need Parent/Guardian Full Name, Parent/Guardian Date of Birth, and confirmation number from your email.

I clicked and nothing came up.

Online registration uses a pop-up window, you need to allow pop-ups for the site in order to be able to access registration. Here are directions on how to allow pop-ups based on the browser you are using: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge

What is a student primary household?

The primary household is where a student resides at least 51% of the time. You will have an opportunity to include an alternate mailing or secondary household in the registration application.

What are the rules for parents/guardians?

Parent/Guardians listed for each student must be that student’s legal guardian. Proof of guardianship includes: parent’s name on official birth certificate, adoption paperwork, legal guardianship paperwork. Parents who are not legal guardians (including step-parents who have not adopted the student) can still be listed but will not have guardianship access to student records.

What is an emergency contact?

In an emergency, if the parent/guardian cannot be contacted, we will call one of the following Emergency Contacts listed. Proper identification will be required before a student is released to emergency contacts. Contacts should be able to pick up student within 30 minutes.

Why is the system asking for race/ethnicity information?

This is a state-mandated data collection requirement.
