At the March 19, 2024, General Primary Election, CCSD 46 successfully passed a $6 million limiting-rate referendum under the banner of “Maintaining Excellence.” This achievement is a testament to the community’s commitment to sustaining and enhancing the quality of education in the district. With the referendum passed, the District focused on the next steps to ensure that the community’s expectations are met and that the excellence that defines CCSD 46 is maintained.
Following the referendum, the District has continued to address implementing our Long-Range Facility Plan (LRFP). This plan is essential for addressing the district’s current and future infrastructure needs. District administration has collaborated closely with our architectural partner, Wold, to refine priorities and the capital budget. Wold’s expertise has been crucial in ensuring that our facilities are conducive to our educational goals.
This summer, construction projects are underway at all of our schools, including major work at Meadowview, Prairieview, Frederick, and Park Campus, as we modernize the media centers in these buildings. Construction on the redesigned media centers for Avon Center School, Woodview, and Grayslake Middle School will begin in the summer of 2027.
